Decastar Multi Event IAAF WCH Start Lists

Posted by: Watch Athletics
The final  IAAF Combined Events Challenge meeting Decastar will take place this weekend in the city of Talence, France.  The Talence field will headline Olympic and World  champion Ashton Eaton. Contenders will compete for the $101,000 prize money awarded to the top 8 decathletes for their total of 3 scores in designated meetings.

Interestingly, Olympic pole vault champion Renaud Lavillenie is also entered in the meet. More likely, Lavillenie will try to battle the Decathlon pole vault world record that stands at 5.76m.  In 1999, Germany's Tim Lobinger set the world best in decathlon pole vault of 5.76m scoring 7346 points in the meeting in Leverkuesen.
