Dibaba Wins 10,000m and Makes History by Winning 5 World Championship titles on Track

World Distance Running Queen, Tirunesh Dibaba, of Ethiopia with a massive kick of 59 seconds over the last lap, won her 3rd 10000m world championship title in Moscow. She has now won total of 5 world titles on the track - 2 in 5000m and 3 in 10000m. No other distance runner in the world has done it.

Second place took Kenyan Gladys Cherono 30:45.17and 3rd place took Belaynesh Oljira of Ethiopia 30:46.98. Hitomi Niiya of Japan, who led the most of the race up until last 500m faded to 5th place in the final lap, but ran a brilliant pr of 30:56.7.
