• Spearmon to Run in Melbourn on Saturday
The three time world championship medallist Wallace Spearmon, has been added to participant lists that will compete at the Melbourn Track Classic on Saturday, April 6. The American sprinter has signed up to race at 100m and 200m races.
Spearmon last weekend opened his 2013 season with an impressive 100m race clocking 9.92 seconds at the Texas Relays. At the 2012 London Olympic Games Spearmon finished fourth clocking 19.90 seconds.
Japhet Korir of Kenya is another huge addition to Melbourn Track Classic, as the three time world cross Country Champion decleared to race 5000m. The Kenyan runner already announced that the main focus in 2013 season will be 5000m. In 2012, at the Dusseldorf indoor meet Korir closcked his personal best in this event 13:11.44.
Melbourn Track classic is the first stages of the 2013 World Challnege meetings.
