• Emily Chebet Wins Her Second World Cross Title

 Women's 8km race saw 97 athletes from 27  countries lining up in the 8km race. 

At around 3km mark Ethiopias Ayalew Hiwot broke away from the leading pack with the 2010 Wolrd Cross Country Champion Chebet of Kenya following her 15 meters behind. 

300m to go Chebet made a massive surge, but Ayalevs legs did not resond. Chebet took the world title for the second time in her career covering the coarse in 24.24 minutes with Hiwot in second in 24:27 and Bruneas runner Shitayev Eshete in third 24:34.
