• Lemaitre disappointed with his season
Europe's best sprinter in 100m and 200m races talked to press after winning in Rieti 100m. Lemaitre this season won European title in 100m. In London Olympics he withdrew from 100m so he could focus better on 200m. After all, Lemaitre ended up in a disappointing fith place. Last year athlete won bronze in 200m in World Championshio Daegu clocking 19.80.
"I am a little disappointed with my season because I did not get a medal at the Games and that was my aim," added Lemaitre. "The positives were the French title and European title. But taken all in all there are more disappointments than positives. I was too focused on the Games, I was too fixated on my daily life. I got worked up about nothing and I am too much of a perfectionist. For example, if I slept an hour less one night, I would say 'Damn, I've slept an hour less.' I would have liked to have raced a bit more this season, more races, more challenges. Running against fast people helps me run faster." Lemaitre explained.
