• Bjorn Otto Vaults 6.01m World Leade in Aachen

 German, European and Olympic silver medalist, Bjorn Otto had saved his best performance for the end of the season at  Domspringen pole vault competition. 34-year-old Otto in the special street pole vault competition in the old center of Aachen in front of 5000 spectators showed great performance as he managed to clear 6.01 meters to win the competition.

It is a new German record in the event. The previous record belonged to Tim Lobinger who 15 years ago looped to 6.00m hight. 

Now with his 6.01 meters Otto moved to number one position in the worlds rank moving to number two position Olympic champion Renaud Lavillenie from France.

Second and third place in this competition went to Karsten Dilla and Molte Mohr, they both cleared 5.56m. There were total of 12 pole vaulters competing in this meetings. This is the third time Otto has won in Aachen
